Funny, I'd just had a conversation last night with a group of athletes about hobbies. I asked them if they got injured and the internet broke, what would they do. Some were lost others said: cooking, chess, drawing and Lego. I didn't judge, but I did say it's important to have outside interests.
I don't fault folks because they grow up in an environment where everything is pointed in the same direction: get the scholarship, get into the prestigious school, etc. And most don't have the knowledge to combat it. Because for most folks, their kid may be their first experience with D1 recruiting or whatever.

Having fun is the most important thing.
